Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh peaches or 2 16-oz. packages frozen unsweetened peach slices, thawed
  • 2 14 ounce cans sweetened condensed milk, chilled
  • 1 1/3 cups milk

Directions

Wash fresh peaches and remove the pits, if using. Cut up fresh peaches, if using. Place half of the fresh or thawed peaches in a blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Transfer pureed peaches to a large bowl. Repeat with remaining peaches. You should have about 2-3/4 cups pureed peaches. Add sweetened condensed milk and milk to pureed peaches; stir until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 4- or 5-quart ice cream freezer. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. If you like, ripen for 4 hours before serving. Makes about 10 cups (20 servings.)
