Picnic Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 12  lemons
  • 1-1/4  to 1-1/2 cups sugar or 1 to 1 1/4 cups wildflower honey
  • 3  quarts cold water
  •   Ice cubes
  •   Sprigs of fresh mint or lemon balm sprigs (optional)

Directions

1. Juice lemons; should have about 3 cups juice. In a medium saucepan, heat lemon juice and sugar or honey till sugar or honey completely dissolves. Set aside to cool.

2. In a gallon container, combine lemon mixture with water. Cover and chill or serve immediately.

3. To serve: Fill each glass with ice and, if you like, add a mint or lemon balm sprig. Pour in lemonade and enjoy. Makes 14 to 16 servings.
