Batitas are Brazilian fruit juice concoctions made with cachaca and various fruit juices. Serve this drink at any summer party.
mango, guava, passion fruit, or apricot nectar
ounce (3 tablespoons)
cachaca (Brazilian colorless rum made from sugar cane) or light rum
Bar Syrup (see recipe below)
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add nectar, cachaca, and bar syrup. Cover and shake. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass.
- In a small saucepan stir together sugar and water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and cool the syrup. Transfer to a small bowl; cover and chill.
