This simple smoked salmon pizza was inspired by one served at The Stone Barn in Nelson, Wisconsin. We love the ease of using purchased crust, but you can sub your favorite homemade dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 12-inch purchased thin baked pizza crust
  • 1/2 8 - ounce tub-style cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dillweed
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon (lox-style), cut into 1/2-inch strips
  • 1/2 cup chopped Vidalia onion or other sweet onion

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees . Place crust on a baking sheet and spread evenly with cream cheese. Sprinkle with dill, then top with capers, salmon and onion.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes or until toppings are heated through. Cool 5 minutes before slicing.
