Swedish Pear Tosa

Ingredients
- 6 Bartlett or other ripe, firm pears
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1-1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/4 cup whipping cream, half-and-half, or light cream
- Fresh or frozen raspberries, thawed, or fresh sliced strawberries
Directions
1. Peel, core and slice pears. Place in a buttered 12x7-1/2x2-inch (2-quart rectangular) baking dish. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice.
2. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and sugar. Cook and stir over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until thick and smooth.
3. Remove from heat and stir in almonds and cream. Pour over pears.
4. Bake in a 375 degree F oven about 25 minutes or until pears are tender. Top with raspberries or strawberries. Makes 6 servings.
