Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, soda, salt, and nutmeg; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Gradually add maple syrup, about 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats. Stir in raisins.
- For each cookie, scoop 2 tablespoons of the dough, form into a ball, then press out onto ungreased cookie sheets into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Leave about 2 inches between rounds. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 11 to 12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute. Transfer to wire racks and let cool.
