Canned apricot nectar is the easy, fruity sweetener in this refreshing summer sipper.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water, divided
  • 6 black tea bags
  • 8 mint sprigs
  • 2 11 1/2 - ounce cans apricot nectar (about 3 cups)
  • Mint sprigs and/or fresh apricot wedges (optional garnish)

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring 3 cups of the water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and mint; steep 6 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags. Leave mint in tea, pressing stems and leaves against pan with the back of a spoon to extract flavor. Stir in 3 cups cold water and apricot nectar. Chill, covered, for 4 hours.
  3. Remove and discard mint. Serve over ice, garnished with mint sprigs and/or apricot wedges, if desired.
