Ingredients
- Cooking oil for deep-fat frying
- 4 7- to 8-inch flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Heat 2 inches of cooking oil in a deep-fat fryer or heavy saucepan to 375 degree F.
2. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges. Fry wedges, 4 at a time, in deep, hot oil for 1 minute on each side or until golden, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
3. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over fried wedges. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature. Makes 32 wedges.
