1

-
1

-
1/2
cup
whole-bran cereal

-

Directions
-
In a large mixing bowl, toss together the rolled oats, coconut, nuts, dried cherries or berries, whole-bran cereal, and sesame seed. Stir together the cooking oil, maple syrup, and salt.
-
Drizzle the maple mixture over oat mixture and toss to coat. Spread the granola mixture in an even layer in a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
-
Bake the granola mixture in a 325 degree F oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the mixture is lightly browned, stirring gently after 20 minutes.
-
Remove the granola from the oven and immediately turn out onto a large piece of foil. Let the granola stand at room temperature to cool. Makes about 9 cups (18 servings).
Make Ahead Tip
- Prepare granola as directed. Store the mixture in tightly covered jars or plastic bags at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, seal the granola in freezer bags; label and freeze.
