It’s impossible not to caress the merchandise when it includes thick sheepskin chair covers, buttery soft braided belts and purses, thick wool sweaters and velvety scarves. This upscale apparel and home decor store has been in Old Market since the mid-1970s. It reflects its Western roots with thick beams, cowboy boots and a whole lot of leather. It’s rugged meets luxurious. Women in particular can score ethnic knits or fur-trimmed and ruffled sweaters and coats lined with sheepskin.

Among its popular accessories are sheepskin car seats, along with rugs and pillows. A corner devoted to kids’ stuff includes a red wagon piled with leather sheepskin-lined mittens and booties and baby-soft horses made from alpaca. If you want to let loose an inner cowboy, there are plenty of funky cowboy boots and hats, along with leather jackets in a variety of colors.

Prices can be high. A belt runs about $50, a sheepskin chair cover was $179, and a top-brand sweater was $380, but you can find clearance prices at the end of each season.
