A local Omaha favorite, sleek and sophisticated Dario’s delivers fabulous brunch, lunch and dinner fare with a European flair.
The food is sensationally fresh and full of robust flavor, and presentations are artfully arranged. Brunch crowds nosh on quiche and crepes; dinner guests favor the grilled lamb steak, duck breast and the Belgian-style mussels. Appetizers start at $6 for pomme frites, and entrees cap out at $26 for boneless beef shortribs (at $19, the free-range chicken with herb jus is a real standout). A vast selection of craft beer, wine and craft cocktails complements the food perfectly. And the liquor doesn’t just flow at the bar, it’s infused into the menu in some innovative ways. For instance, patrons with a sweet tooth can spoil themselves with a creative and delicious beer float made with Lindeman’s Framboise Raspberry Lambic and vanilla ice cream.
Dario’s atmosphere is invitingly informal with banquette seating, soft lighting and a quaintly decorated interior. Outside, a cozy patio fills up fast when the weather is nice. Although the restaurant is friendly, it’s probably more appropriate for adults than families with kids.
