Honey Grove Botanicals
Editor's Review
Honey Grove Botanicals might be a very small shop in Gahanna, Ohio, but it holds a wealth of handcrafted bath oils, soaps, sugar scrubs, body butters, lotions, candles and more. Owner Barbara Drobnick is a certified aromatherapist who has spent years studying herbal remedies, and she uses only wholesome, natural ingredients like olive oil, cocoa butter, sea salts and essential oils to create her products. She specializes in formulating personalized skin care items for people with allergies. Customers also can create make-and-take bath salts and bath teas in whatever colors and scents they prefer.
The Honey Grove Botanicals product line is not only affordable–a 4.5 ounce bottle of Cucumber Melon Hand and Body Lotion costs $5.99; soybean wax jar candles with scents inspired by foods, flowers and herbs are $12.99–but also available in designs that look good enough to eat. Bath fizzers are shaped like cupcakes and chocolate kisses; kid-pleasing Soap Pops resemble rainbow sherbet on a wooden stick. Because Barbara spends her mornings manufacturing candles or wrapping soaps in tasteful toile print paper, Honey Grove Botanicals doesn’t open until 2 p.m., but the shop’s exceptional bath and beauty products, fun experiences, and funky, lavender-colored claw-foot tub are worth the wait.
