A meal here feels a lot like going to summer camp for grown-ups. You'll sample terrific food and drink while making new friends or celebrating old amid peaceful rural surroundings where owners Julie and Bob Zoller graciously welcome guests. In season, you may see a half-acre of asparagus and hundreds of thriving lavender plants. Visit with the resident turkey, hear woodpeckers on nearby trees, take a kayak for a spin, or watch heron flying across the small lake. Some early arrivals pick up fishing poles; others share a game of wicket ball.
When it comes time to eat, glass urns and large coolers hold cold beverages; many events feature wine for an additional charge. Guests typically enjoy multicourse meals, with a frequent focus on use of local and seasonal ingredients. Mason jar drinking glasses and fresh flowers lend a casual feel to long wooden dining tables. S'mores, and movies shown after dark on an outdoor screen complete many evenings, with a blazing fire and twinkling votives burning inside glass containers hung in trees. Each farm dinner differs in terms of cost and menu. The Zollers also host weddings and rehearsal dinners as well as family reunions and retreats.
