Offerings change every day at this modern, organic tapas-style restaurant, so you never know just what you might find from one visit to the next. That’s all part of the appeal.
The large, ambitious menu spans the globe with delicious fare, and sharing the small and large plates is encouraged. Guests can order from an array of ethnic-theme dishes like Spanish flatbread with chorizo and olives ($9), red lentil daal with apple cilantro chutney ($6), and duck confit spring rolls ($8). The large-plate selections are bigger and heartier: Think yummy stuff like whole roasted rainbow trout ($21), short rib bourguignon ($18) and Goan seafood curry ($20). There’s also a thoughtful list of cheese and charcuterie. Everything is made with fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables and herbs from local food producers; creative cocktails and local microbrews wash it all down.
The Odd Duck crowd is funky and diverse, and servers are friendly and attentive. In the summer, plan to arrive early to snag a seat on the small patio next to planters of fresh herbs.
