Even visitors who aren’t really into camping will have a good time at Indian Trails. This attractive, well-maintained campground features 333 sites, about half of which are reserved for seasonal rentals. Accommodations include standard, waterfront and full-hookup campsites; air-conditioned cabins come furnished with beds, dining tables, TVs, DVD players, fridges and microwaves. More adventurous guests can rent a portable cabin or teepee for the kids to sleep in (friendly campground staff delivers them to your site).
The two scenic lakes are probably the best assets: Kids and adults love to fish in the larger 15-acre lake then splash around on inflatable play structures in the smaller swimming lake. Additional entertainment options include an 18-hole mini-golf course, horseshoe pit, volleyball, indoor swimming pool, a dog park and 6 miles of hiking trails.
Indian Trails keeps the fun going with themed weekends throughout the season, starting with Easter and ending with Halloween. There’s a fish fry in the on-site restaurant every Friday night, homemade doughnuts every Sunday morning and soft-serve ice cream available 24/7. Standard campsite rates start at $33 in season.
