With an organic hipster vibe, Harbor Perk wouldn’t be at all out of place in a coffee-centric Portland or Seattle neighborhood. Owner Jacob Sposito roasts beans behind the counter, and the decor and ambiance are trendy-chic with lots of potted plants, stacks of bean bags and cool leather furniture. Tall windows on the storefront let in lots of natural light, and the old downtown building has wood floors, tall tin ceilings and indoor brickwork.
A small cup of fresh-roasted coffee costs $1.59; lattes and cappuccinos run $$2.69 to $4.19. Foodwise, customers can choose from an array of locally baked pastries, bagels and freshly blended fruit smoothies. Purchase coffee beans by the pound and half-pound to brew at home.
Cozy digs and excellent coffee make Harbor Perk a great place to start the day or enjoy an afternoon pick-me-up.
