Chef Dan Weber makes a "famous" whitefish chowder on Fridays at the Ten Curves Rustic Inn -- it won the "soup off" in Curtis. We were there on Saturday, so unfortunately, we missed it. The fish dinner was good, though -- especially the big chunks (12 oz.) of pan-fried whitefish, which was light and delicious. Dinners come with a choice of soup, salad or coleslaw, and potato ($15.95). We were there early, so we couldn't enjoy the roadhouse ambience that probably kicks in when the place is full. Besides the choice of salmon, walleye, perch and whitefish, the Rustic Inn is also becoming known for its frog legs and housemade pizza. There's a full bar as well.
