The Chocolatier Inc.

Editor's Review
If "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" is a movie that makes you salivate, you'll feel right at home at The Chocolatier Inc., a downtown candy store that not only makes its own chocolate candy -- such as turtles, creams and toffee -- that you purchase by the piece or the pound but also offers an array of loose candy that will make you feel like, well, a kid in a candy shop. You'll find jars and jars of jelly beans, malted milk balls, liqueur cordials, candy-coated almonds, peppermints, chocolate-covered raisins, gummy worms and just about anything else you could imagine. It's a self-serve arrangement; you fill little white sacks with your selections and then pay by the pound. The jarred candy is not homemade, but you can't have everything! If you use your imagination, you can transport yourself back to when this store was first built in the 1800s, because not much has changed -- high ceilings, tiled floor and white-washed walls. Our only regret was not tasting the homemade Italian ice, which we were later told is out of this world. Oh, well next time.
