Signatures is the place to go for a truly memorable dining experience. The experience starts with the setting, a beautiful corner of The Bridges Golf Club, set in the shadow of the Mississippi bluffs, and continues with exceptional food and service.Dishes change with the season and are fun and innovative without being extreme. Example: The Ants on a Log appetizer features local celery sprouts, Marcona almond butter and golden raisins finished with a honey-port reduction and cucumber vinaigrette. Or the Corn Dogs and Ketchup: a house-made shrimp, lobster and leek "dog" fried in a jalapeno and corn batter. The dogs were served with wasabi sauce and homemade ketchup, plus truffle-salted potato chips. Tasty and unique. Entrees, which run $20 to $40, feature favorites like ribs, pasta and poultry, but also items such as European red deer and Australian barramundi. Everything was delicious.What really stands out, however, were all of the special touches: like the amuse-bouche (tiny appetizer) that begins every meal as a gift from the chef and the fact you can select from among a slice of lemon, lime or cucumber in your ice water. A lot of restaurants do some of these things, but it's rare to find a restaurant that does them all. And well.
