Rookery Pub is the newest restaurant to enter the Cable region. The upscale menu is one of the most creative in the region. Appetizers range from raw Elk to grass fed lamb or a hearty helping of Wisconsin cheese fondue. The chef mixes it up by flying in a different fish from a sustainable fish farm each week instead of your standard Wisconsin Friday night whitefish all you can eat fry. Other popular entrees include the Bison, baby quail stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon and several vegetarian and pasta options. Appetizers start at $8 while entrees start at $20 and up. During the winter, the restaurant is only open for dinner Thursday through Sunday. On weekends, you can occasionally grab a bowl of bison chili for lunch.
