Porter County is located at the southern tip of Lake Michigan and is known for the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore area. Chesterton boasts film nights at the Thomas Centennial Park and a European market on Saturday mornings through the summer and early fall. Porter is known for having more restaurants per capita than any other town in the county.
