The Red Rock River Resort Hotel and Spa is a modern, private hotel that features multiple spa treatments ranging from a 30-minute soothing massage to a full-body scrub using Eminence products and towel wrap. The building itself dates to 1891 and is made of sandstone, but the inside has been completely redone, with high ceilings, relaxing soft blue-toned paint throughout, feather beds, deep window sills, living rooms for watching TV, dining rooms for having pizza and wine, plus spa treatment rooms. There's a hot tub room, a sauna/steam room, a room with sand instead of a floor, massage areas, among other things. The hotel also features an intimate, fine dining restaurant called Blue Vervain. The menu is short--just three appetizers, a couple of salads, seven entrees, and four desserts--but features delicacies such as Thai-style shrimp ceviche, tuna tartare, Kobe beef burgers, and South Dakota buffalo New York strip steak.
