The newly renovated Hyatt Regency St. Louis offers great access to many of the city's most popular downtown sites, including Gateway Arch and Busch Stadium.
You won't find a hotel location better suited to taking advantage of the St. Louis riverfront than the recently remodeled Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. Located across the street from Gateway Arch, it's an easy walk to the riverboats that traverse the Mississippi, the Busch Stadium, Edward Jones Dome, City Garden, and the Laclede's Landing entertainment district, at the far end of which is Lumiere Place Casino. Hyatt purchased this 910-room, 18-story hotel in 2008 and undertook a $63 million renovation. Its dated 1980s decor has been replaced with a sleek, Euro-modern look, and every room boasts a view of either the riverfront or downtown. You need not leave the hotel if you're looking for fine dining, a burger and a beer, or a quick cup of coffee and muffin. The hotel features Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Red Kitchen & Bar, Brewhouse Historical Sports Bar and Starbuck's. It also has a 17th-floor private club that, for an additional $100, provides a continental breakfast, afternoon snacks and evening hors d'oeuvres and drinks. A first-floor gym will help you work off the calories later. One don't-miss feature of this Hyatt is its 18th-floor Gateway Terrace. What was once an outdoor pool is now covered with translucent flooring lit from below, and guests are invited to sit and enjoy skyline views if the space is not being used for a party.
