Established in 1978, this 75-seat restaurant is famous for its spinach bisque soup and its crepes, both savory and sweet. Savory options include a beef burgundy crepe and a mesquite-smoked chicken and Jack cheese crepe ($9.95 each), while the turtle crepe seems to be the sweet favorite ($6.75). In addition to crepes, the menu at this place is huge and somewhat unexpected--a roasted-duck quesadilla appetizer, quiche, polenta torte, roast-garlic chicken potpie, pastas and sandwiches. Tuesday nights are fresh seafood nights, with fish flown in from around the world. The foyer is full of barrels holding flavored coffee beans--the flavor of the day when we visited was pecan praline, which was pretty delicious. In warmer months, visitors can sit on the back patio, which holds about 30 people and has an urban garden with lush landscaping and outdoor grills emitting tantalizing scents.
