This simple, contemporary bar serves up classy meals with even classier drink selections.
Any meal that starts off with a bread bowl filled with blended cheeses, white wine, dark beer and chopped pecans has to be good. This signature appetizer, called a cheese crock, is just the beginning of a creative, first-rate meal at this place that's so much more than a bar. For dinner, expect a variety of traditional options with a twist. We enjoyed the tomato-orange soup and the chevre salad. The soup was a variation on the traditional tomato soup with just the right subtle note of orange, and the salad featured warm hazelnut-crusted goat cheese served over fresh spinach with slices of grilled chicken breast, white balsamic vinaigrette, crisp prosciutto and dried cranberries. This classy establishment includes great outdoor dining when the weather cooperates. Inside, the black-painted wood furniture gives this corner restaurant a Parisian feel, while old-school jazz plays in the background. The menu totes more than 150 wines and mixed drinks to choose from, topping off a great meal at this adult-friendly venue.
