Say this for Jimmy's Caf--you won't get bored. There's a lot going on. In the main dining area, white-tablecloth finery is offset by caricatures of local celebrities and Jimmy's regulars adorning the wall. Your meal begins with complimentary Pasta Crunchers, noodles flash-fried in hot oil then seasoned with 20 ingredients. If you're still in the mood for munchies, order an appetizer of flash-fried spinach (a house specialty for $7). The signature entree is tenderloin Anthony--eight ounces of grilled beef beneath a pile of Gorgonzola, Brie, and grilled shrimp ($30). The bistro room is a decidedly different story. A 20-foot bar is a piece of art in itself, incorporating door parts, industrial springs and a length of train track topped with polished red granite. Two fireplaces make this an inviting spot for a light dinner and a few drinks. The bistro menu includes some interesting pizza options, like crab and mango or tenderloin with Gorgonzola cheese and caramelized onions ($12 to $15). Come for live music on weekends, when a late-night bistro menu offers nosh until midnight.
