Basic Sugar Cookie Dough [1]

Our six cookies start with this one dough. Read both recipes before making your cookie choice. In some cases you'll substitute ingredients.
Shining Star Sandwich Cookies [5]

A spiced blend of powdered sugar and jelly fills the center of these star-shape cookies. Dust with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.
Brown Sugar Thumbprints [9]

Brown sugar and spices -- cinnamon, allspice and ginger -- set this cookie apart. Roll in finely chopped almonds and press in a candied red cherry half before baking.
Chocolate Drizzled Crescents [13]

Substitute whiskey, rum or brandy flavoring for vanilla in this recipe, then roll dough into 3-inch logs and shape into crescents. Drizzle with melted chocolate or coat with powdered sugar.
Rosemary & Lemon Ribbons [17]

Grated lemon peel and fresh or dried rosemary flavors these rolled cookies. To make an easy icing, mix 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Stir in additional milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until drizzling consistency.
Layered Coconut Dream Bars [21]

Top Basic Sugar Cookie Dough with shredded coconut, snipped dried apricots, cherries or cranberries, chopped pecans, semisweet chocolate pieces and white baking pieces. A can of sweetened condensed milk holds it all together.
Holiday Sugar Cookie Cutouts [25]
