Common Ground Music Festival
July 8-14
Common Ground Music Festival takes place annually in downtown Lansing, along the banks of the Grand River in Adado Riverfront Park. This annual celebration features an outstanding lineup of musical acts, focusing on top-level, national and regional music performers of many genres including contemporary and classic rock, alternative, country, hip hop, R&B and more. With an attractive, intimate venue, state of the art production and a comprehensive array of patron amenities, the Festival is the premier outdoor music event of the summer in the mid-Michigan region. Great Lakes Folk Festival
August 9-11
The MSU Museum presents this three-day celebration of culture, tradition and community. Find music, dance, food and more with the roots, the rhythms and the richness of culture across America and around the world. The festival includes nearly 100 musicians or dancers in groups, who perform at least twice and sometimes as many as four times over the weekend.
