recipe sourdough bread, shaped into a 10- to 12-inch round flat loaf and baked, or one 12-1/2-ounce (12-inch) Italian flat bread (focaccia)
bottled creamy garlic salad dressing
thinly sliced hard salami
plum tomatoes (Roma), thinly sliced
thinly sliced provolone cheese
roasted red sweet peppers, drained
thinly sliced ham
Slice the bread in half horizontally. Toast the cut sides on a hot griddle, in a large skillet or under the broiler.
Spread creamy garlic salad dressing on the cut side of the bottom half of loaf. Arrange over dressing in following order: salami, tomatoes, provolone cheese, roasted sweet peppers, ham and romaine leaves. Cover with remaining half loaf, cut side down. Cut sandwich into wedges.
