Blender Blueberry Sauce

This easy blueberry sauce tastes sweet and fresh. Serve it over anything that could use a good dessert sauce, from pancakes to ice cream.
Fresh-cut fruit, cake slices, and whipped cream (optional)
In a food processor or blender, combine blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cover and process or blend for 15 seconds. Stop the machine and scrape sides with spatula. Process the mixture for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes more or until the blueberry skins are almost smooth.
Serve the sauce over pancakes or as an ice cream topping. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 3 days; bring to room temperature and stir before serving. If you like, spoon over fresh fruit and cake slices topped with whipped cream. Makes 3 cups.
