White-on-White Pears with Gorgonzola

Tangy cheese and juicy, fresh pears are sprinkled with toasted pine nuts, olive oil, and red wine vinegar in this 15-minute side-dish recipe.
medium Bartlett pears, cored and sliced
crumbled Gorgonzola dolce (Dolcelatte cheese) or blue cheese (4 ounces)
pine nuts, toasted
extra-virgin olive oil
red wine vinegar
Cracked black pepper
Arrange pear slices on chilled salad plates. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with pine nuts.
In a screw-top jar, combine oil and vinegar. Cover and shake well. Drizzle over pear mixture. Sprinkle pear mixture with black pepper. Serve immediately. Makes 6 side-dish servings.
