North Dakota Sunflower Pie

This sunflower dessert has the texture of pecan pie and is so rich you'll find that a small slice is quite satisfying.
Ingredients

beaten eggs

cup
packed brown sugar

cup
light corn syrup

cup
dark corn syrup

cup
sugar

tablespoons
sunflower margarine, melted

teaspoon
vanilla

teaspoon
salt

cup
roasted, salted sunflower kernels

unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions

In a large bowl, beat together eggs, brown sugar, corn syrups, sugar, margarine, vanilla, and salt.

Spread sunflower kernels evenly in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell. Pour in the sugar mixture.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until center is almost set (it will jiggle slightly). Cool on a wire rack. Makes 8 servings.
