Ingredients

  • 1 pound unsliced bologna
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 4 large hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese (about 4 ounces)
  • Sweet pickle slices or sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

Directions

  1. Cut bologna into 4 slices. In skillet, cook bologna slices, 2 at a time, in hot oil about 2 minutes per side or until brown, turning once.
  2. Transfer bologna to toasted buns. Arrange a slice of Monterey Jack cheese, sweet pickle slices or relish, and onion on top. Cover with bun tops and serve warm. Makes 4 servings.
