I took this picture in my hometown of Clarinda, Iowa out in my grandpa's pasture...so much of what I call home is captured in this picture...my old truck I drove in High School that my dad still has and I still drive when I'm back, the beautiful countryside and farmland that truly depicts rural Midwest living, seeing the cattle in the reflection of the mirror, as well as looking out across the land at the top of the hill and seeing my grandparent's farm that they've lived on for over 50yrs. This picture is what I call home and it was the inspiration and one of the pictures I used for artwork on my debut album, "That's What I Call Home", released on iTunes in April 2009. So much of the music I sing and write about comes from my hometown experiences and growing up in a small town. You can see in this photo and hear in the verses of my song, "That's What I Call Home" on my album how much the Midwest and home means to me!

This beautiful picture really does reflect a true Midwestern hometown girl and what she writes about in her songs. Check out her album- it's awesome!
