Inspired by apple blossoms, forsythia and, lilacs, we mixed different shades of these tints with accents, seasonal accessories and a telltale floral branch. Follow your own inspiration, whether for Easter, a wedding shower or simply for a gathering of friends.

Lovely Lilac

Spring green paired with lilac is nature's perfect palette. Atop a purple charger sits a dessert plate featuring a green swirl that reminds us of a curled fern bud. Our simple centerpiece is a silver basket filled with pink paper confetti and softly tinted eggs. Attach a flower pin to a dragonfly-accented napkin as a favor. Finish this setting with garden-themed silver pieces and a pitcher of fresh-cut lilacs.

Pink Apple Blossom

Prettily placed on a plaid fabric tablecloth, this table setting draws its colors from pink apple blossoms. It features a flower-accented dessert plate atop a dinner plate with scalloped edges and charming garden insects. Silver salad-serving pieces with tulip and lily motifs look like sculpture on the table. Touches of spring green liven things up on a bowl of strawberries and frosted vases holding blossoming crabapple branches.

Accent a plain lemonade pitcher by wrapping it in a plaid napkin. Suddenly, it has a winsome personality! Apple (and cherry) blossoms remind us of the Orient, so we accented our setting with a pink paper drink umbrella. A trip to the crafts store produced all the makings for a special take-home favor. Wrap pink bags with raffia ribbon and personalize them with your guests' initials on transparent silver circle gift tags. Fill with almonds and celebrate the joys of spring.

Forsythia Yellow

Celebrate spring cheer with this sunny setting. Playful stripes adorn the tablecloth, dishes and pedestal bowl. Clean-lined yellow silverware with frosted handles rests on an engaging stack of dishes featuring a perky daisy dessert plate atop a yellow-striped dinner plate and a spring-green charger.

Use an overturned coffee cup as a base for a tiny arrangement of a painted napkin ring holding a cracked-egg "vase" for a sprig of forsythia. Tuck a napkin through the cup's handle. A few long branches of forsythia anchored with green jelly beans inside a tall rectangular glass vase add contemporary flair. Unique place cards lettered on pieces of frosted beach glass rest on feather leaves. Tucked underneath, an envelope holds the menu and an ode to spring.
