The Showcase Home

Cozy and cottagelike from the outside, Wildwood's interior blends sophisticated design with Dutch touches and classic, yet casual, furnishings for a home that you'd love to call your own.

Entryway

A hand-painted chest in the entry is an eye-catching spot to drop keys or the mail. Batten strips on the stair wall create a raised-panel effect. Fresh flowers and a framed mirror reinforce the welcoming mood.

Great Room

Maple flooring extends from the entry and encircles the great room. A carpet inset called a Dutch floor adds warmth to the room. Plump armchairs in a floral pattern and in green leather, plus a harvest-tone plaid sofa, highlight the mix-and-match decor.

Kitchen

A center island, which includes a bar sink, makes room for more than one cook. Mounted beneath a nutmeg-toned solid-surface countertop, the side-by-side stainless steel sinks near the dishwasher help make kitchen cleanup a snap.

Dining Room

A 5-foot-high chair rail caps painted-white vertical batten strips. Above the rail, a deep red lends a striking backdrop to an assortment of framed black-and-white prints. A plaid of ripe red, woodland green and sunny gold covers the seat cushions for a casual, yet timeless, look.

Master Suite

Hues of soft green, subtle lavender and rose-colored floral and plaid fabrics give the room a gardenlike feeling.

Master Bath

The vanity's aged-ivory finish recalls 1940s dressing tables. A custom-made mirror with dentil molding spans double sinks, which are mounted beneath the solid-surface countertops for a smooth finish that's easy to clean. Dual fixtures light the entire area.

Children's Bedroom

Cloud-patterned wallpaper and billowy white window treatments and white bed linens in the children's room create a dreamy fantasy. Twin whitewashed double beds, a dresser and nightstand remind you of the perfect storybook cottage.

Loft

A bump-out dormer window seat in the loft area, overlooking the great room, makes a great getaway spot to curl up with a good book. Drawers under the seat hold games and extra linens.

Porch

The three-season screened porch is perfect for informal suppers or entertaining during warm weather. Wicker furnishings, all-weather fabric and an etagere for plants help bring the outdoors in.
