Kids' Room
Infuse children's rooms with the energy and life they exude. A can of sherbet-orange paint sets a playful stage for a mix of mismatched striped, floral and polka-dot bedding, united by common colors, in this bedroom for two girls. Simple white cotton shower curtains work as window treatments, and paper lanterns and clip-frame crafts store art add creative style. While big brother has his own room, the extra bedroom becomes the kids' retreat. We outfitted it with a bookcase storage unit for books, games, videos and collections. A desk provides a place for doing homework or using a notebook computer. Even the upholstered pieces in this room are bright and multifunctional. The aqua ottoman opens up just like a toy box; the orange love seat has a hidden pullout bed perfect for overnights.
