Warm-You-Up Beans and Ham

Test Kitchen Tips: For quick cornbread, use corn muffin mix or purchase some from the local bakery. Serve it warm with butter.

For warm brownies, prepare those from a mix also, baking them while you eat and letting them cool about 20 to 30 minutes. Warm the hot fudge sauce in the microwave and drizzle over each brownie in a dessert dish.

  • 1 meaty smoked pork hock (1 to 1-1/2 pounds)
  • 1 large onion
  • 1, 8.5-ounce package corn muffin mix
  • 1 quart lowfat milk
  • 1 pound butter
  • 5-ounce package torn mixed greens
  • 16-ounce bottle desired salad dressing
  • 21-ounce package brownie mix
  • 12-ounce jar hot fudge ice cream topping
