Test Kitchen Timesavers and Tips:

An instant-read thermometer is the best tool to use to take your burger's temperature: The internal color of a burger is not a reliable doneness indicator. A beef burger cooked to 160° F is safe, regardless of color. To measure the doneness of a burger, insert an instant-read thermometer through the side of the burger to a depth of 2 to 3 inches.

For an easy spinach salad, place 1 6-ounce package prewashed baby spinach in a large bowl and toss with your favorite vinaigrette dressing. Top with crumbled feta cheese and cracked black pepper.
