Test Kitchen Tips:
Serve any leftover salsa with tortilla chips.
Bratwurst can be grilled or broiled. Make sure to prick brats all over before cooking for steam to escape while cooking. Grill cooked brats over medium coals for 3 to 7 minutes or until heated through, turning occasionally. Grill uncooked brats in a covered grill over indirect medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes or until 160 degrees, turning once.
Broil cooked brats 4 inches from the heat on the unheated rack of a broiler pan for 3 to 7 minutes or until heated through, turning once or twice. Uncooked brats spatter a lot under the broiler, so these are best grilled outdoors.
