S'more to Love

Sure, you perfected s'more basics at camp when you were 9. But now it's time to expand your repertoire with new takes on the gooey classic.

S'more fun

Stack on fillings Top graham cracker squares with a peppermint patty, a thin slice of fruit, chocolate-hazelnut spread and/or mini chips.

Bake it Assemble the s'more and bake it on a foil-lined baking pan in a 300° oven for about 5 minutes or broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for about 2 minutes. It's ready when the marshmallow is soft and the fillings are melty. Press the graham crackers together to seal the deal.

Take it to the table Looking to liven up a summer dinner party? Let your guests roast marshmallows over candles (fondue burners work great, too) on the deck or patio.

Superfast s'mores The first s'mores recipe in the 1927 Girl Scouts handbook was all about the campfire's crackle. But if pushing a few buttons is more your style, you're still in luck. Build s'mores on a microwave-safe plate then nuke 'em on high for 15 to 30 seconds or until marshmallows soften. Your graham crackers won't get soggy. Promise!
