Easy-to-Make Mac and Cheese Menu
Mac and cheese is always a family favorite, and it's easy to prepare, too.
Your Menu: Serves 4
ABC Mac & Cheese
- Packaged peeled baby carrots
- Sliced strawberries
- Milk or Water with lemon slices
Test Kitchen Tips:
You can use salted butter in the macaroni and cheese recipe, but then you might want to make sure you don't salt the pasta cooking water. You'll get plenty of salt added with the cheese.
If you are watching your fat intake, you can substitute reduced fat milk for the whole milk when making this Mac and Cheese. The flavor won't be quite as rich, but it will still be satisfying.
If you like, you can leave the blue cheese out of this recipe but it give the Mac and Cheese a new twist.
Store extra cheese, tightly wrapped, in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 weeks.
