When purchasing avocados, choose avocados that yield to gentle pressure. If unripe, place the avocados in a paper bag and set aside at room temperature overnight. Once ripe, the avocados can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
To peel fresh peaches, place them in boiling water in a large saucepan for 30 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon to a colander set in a sink. Run cold water over peaches to cool. When cool, use a paring knife to remove the skin from the peaches.
