Pan-Grilled Chicken and Salad Meal

Use a grill pan, table-top grill or skillet to quickly cook chicken breast halves and serve with a side of this warm salad.

Pan-grilled skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Test Kitchen Tips:

Cook the chicken breast halves for 12 to 15 minutes in a lightly oiled grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat, turning once. Or, use your electric indoor grill to cook the chicken. Allow 4 to 6 minutes for a grill with a cover or 12 to 15 minutes for an uncovered grill.

Be creative and season the chicken with your favorite seasoning blend. Or, add flavor with a quick marinade. Pour some of the vinaigrette for the salad over the chicken. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 before cooking.

If you choose, serve the chicken with hot cooked rice tossed with your favorite chopped vegetables.

  • 1 package sliced bacon
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 bottle herb vinaigrette
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 bag torn mixed salad greens
  • 1 package bagel chips or salad croutons
  • Brownies from your favorite bakery
