Your Menu: Serves 3
Bonnie's Sensational Scones
Blueberry Smoothies
- Poached eggs
- Cooked sausage links or patties
- Fresh melon wedges
Test Kitchen Tips:
To poach eggs, half fill a medium skillet with water. Bring water to boiling; reduce to simmering (bubbles should begin to break surface). Break 1 egg into a measuring cup. Carefully slide egg into simmering water, holding the lip of the cup as close to the water as possible.
Repeat with 2 more eggs, allowing each egg an equal amount of space. Simmer eggs, uncovered, 3 to 5 minutes or until whites are completely set and yolks begin to thicken but are not hard. Remove with a slotted spoon. Season with salt and pepper.
Store any remaining scones in a covered container up to 2 days or freeze up to 3 months. Wrap in foil and reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
