Speed things up by using packaged refrigerated new potato wedges in place of the red potatoes.

Andouille (an-DOO-ee) sausage is a spicy, smoked sausage that is used in Cajun cooking. If it is not available where you shop, you can use your favorite smoked sausage links.

Shopping List:

  • 1 8-ounce package sliced bacon
  • 3 medium round red potatoes (1 pound), thin sliced
  • 1 red or green sweet pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pound smoked andouille or sausage links
  • 1 10-ounce package frozen whole kernel corn
  • 1 pint strawberry or peach sorbet
  • 1 6-pack bottled sparkling water
  • 1 lime

Pantry Items:

  • salt
  • ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • ground black pepper
