Summer Drinks

Take a break with a tall, cool glass of fruit-flavored fun. Choose from three options for a party drink, summer barbecue or an end-of-the-day celebration.

Summer Fruit Daiquiris

Choose from peaches or strawberries and rum or orange juice for this chiller. Then rev up your blender. Start to finish: 15 minutes

3 cups pitted, peeled and sliced fresh peaches or frozen (thawed) unsweetened peach slices or fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries
1/2 of a 12-ounce can frozen limeade or lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup light rum or orange juice
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 to 3 cups ice cubes
Peach chunks or strawberries (optional)

Directions: 1. In a blender, combine peaches, limeade concentrate, rum and powdered sugar. Cover and blend until smooth. With blender running, gradually add ice cubes through opening in lid until mixture is as thick as you like. If you like, garnish with peach chunks or strawberries threaded on wood skewers. Makes 6 to 8 (4- to 5-ounce) servings.
