Your Menu: Serves 4
Bordelaise Peppery Steak
- Cooked baby carrots
- Mixed green salad with your favorite salad dressing
Test Kitchen Tips:
If you don't have both white and red wine, use 3 tablespoons of either wine wine when making the sauce. If you prefer not to use wine, you may use 3 tablespoons cranberry juice.
Save on prep time by purchasing pre-sliced mushrooms.
To prepare carrots, cook 2 cups purchased peeled baby carrots in lightly salted boiling water for 7 to 9 minutes or until crisp tender. Drain and toss with butter, if desired, and season with additional salt and ground black pepper. To dress up cooked baby carrots, drizzle them with butter and top with pistachio nuts.
